Meet Dwain:
In 2008, Dwain C. Reynolds III ensured that every Michigan voter had a Socialist alternative on their ballot by running for the State Board of Education. Following the mass support base formed throughout the state from an exhaustive campaign tour, he received 94,663 votes; exceeding the past highest vote total that any Socialist or Green candidate for the State Board of Education has ever received by nearly 10,000 votes. In 2010, Dwain received two Associates Degrees from Kellogg Community College and enrolled at Grand Valley State University to finish his degree in Secondary Education Group Social Studies with a minor in U.S. History. During that same year he met his fiance Kylie and her son Kade, whom he loves dearly. Currently Dwain is a senior at Grand Valley State and a Child Care Teacher and Site Coordinator for the YMCA.
In 2012, Dwain C. Reynolds III made another run for the State Board of Education. Although he did not win he did receive 66,123 votes - the most votes for any socialist candidates that year. Quick Facts:
